Quality Control


PERSONNEL

PLANT FORMAN

  • In direct charge of all Packing, Manufacturing, and Maintenance personnel.
  • Direct employees as to their functions and monitors their performance
  • Keeps in continuous contact with the QA Manager, informing him/her to any problems or repair actions being taken.
  • Decides if production is acceptable after it’s initial setup.
  • May stop production or refuse raw material for any reason.
TOOLING FORMAN
  • Responsible for directing and insuring the quality of all tools produced internally or from outside sources.
  • Acts as a reference for the determination of any production problems, both in quality and mechanical issues, and also has final say as to how a problem should be corrected.
PURCHASING AGENT
  • Purchases all raw materials used in production.
  • Will inspect all incoming materials to insure they are acceptable before going to production and also inspects component material after production to verify consistency in quality.
SALES REPRESENTATIVE
  • Responsible for monitoring the production, quality, and shipment of all components for their respective clients.
  • Alerts the QA manager if they feel there is a problem with any production or if the customer has made any recommendations or inquiries.
SHIPPING MANAGER
  • Supervises the packing and shipment of all components.
  • Verifies that the packing and loading of a shipment conforms to the customers standards and safety requirements.

MANUFACTURING

A) SETUP PERSONNEL

  • Responsible for the initial setup of a press and verification that the part is running within spec.
  • Will monitor all presses constantly, measuring and visually inspecting components throughout the day to insure consistent quality.
  • Report on and repair any detected problems.

B) PRESS OPERATORS

  • Responsible for the operation of the presses.
  • Will constantly monitor the metal and components through physical and visual inspection to insure the run is problem free.
  • Reports any problems to any manager or foreman.
PACKERS
  • Responsible for moving parts from the production are to the packing area and preparing them for shipment.
  • Packers will make one final visual inspection of the components in a box before sealing the box.
MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL
  • Responsible for overall maintenance of the facilities, including any machinery.
